I went to Cheongju for a couple hours a few weekends ago. It’s only about 40 minutes outside of Daejeon and costs less than $4 to get there on the train. I went to Sangdang Sanseong. It’s a fortress wall right outside of Cheongju. Then we took a bus to a few museums.
