I know someone who didn’t know what grits is. I’ve eaten grits since I was a kid but I never thought of what it was made from.

My mom knew it was corn but I couldn’t believe it. So I checked The Website Which Knows All, Wikipedia!

According to the wikipedia page about grits, it is made from coarsely ground corn. Fancy that.

Well, here are pictures of grits!

Well I’ll be monkey’s uncle. I had no idea it was made from corn. So does that make it a vegetable or is it considered starch?

Damn, that’s a fine southern breakfast you got there. Now I’m hungry.

Oh it’s soooooo great!

It’s mostly carbs and nothing else so I’m gonna go with starch. But it is all corn so it has to be a vegetable. There’s gotta be a category for food like that.

Grits givin heart attacks…pish tosh…give me some buttered up grits 7 days a week and I’m good to go. With some buttered up biscuits from scratch. With some country fried ham and some scrambled or fried hard eggs…oooh with some orange juice and a slice of toast. Just got hungry all of a something as if I had the munchies, but I ain’t tokin’…
