I got 2 fish to keep my desk company when I’m away. They’re called Black Moors. They don’t do much besides swim, eat, and poop. I think I’ll get a piranha next and see how they all get along.

The Detroit area has been having a string of sunny and slightly warm days lately. Because of this, I’ve been going outside everyday and finding something to do.

Friday, I went to Belle Isle with my mom. It was such a beautiful day and I got some great pictures, including some of the Belle Isle Ice Tree.

I know someone who didn’t know what grits is. I’ve eaten grits since I was a kid but I never thought of what it was made from.

My mom knew it was corn but I couldn’t believe it. So I checked The Website Which Knows All, Wikipedia!

According to the wikipedia page about grits, it is made from coarsely ground corn. Fancy that.

Well, here are pictures of grits!

After being back in Michigan for just a few days, I encountered the biggest snowfall I’ve seen in at least a year (6 inches). That’s not much for this area and it’s nothing compared to what other parts of the country got! But I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of my dad blowing away the snow with his fancy snowblower from the future.

I spent two weeks in Spain after I finished my year in South Korea. These pictures are from my first day and night in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
