Blackberry CurveSubscribe to my blog! You’ll be glad you did!!!

Within about two weeks of getting my first Blackberry, I had an issue with the charging port and had to get a new one. But I already set up all the programs and everything that I wanted on there.

A few of the programs that I put on there were linked to my Blackberry pin which is based on the actual phone. So I had a few problems after I got the new phone.

One problem was with the Google Sync program that keeps your Google Calendar matched up with the calendar in the Blackberry.

When I put Google Sync on the new Blackberry, everytime it tried to match the two, it would copy whatever was in my Google Calendar over and over again. I would end up with multiple copies of my appointments in my Blackberry. Quite annoying!

I found a way to fix this on one of the many Blackberry forums online.

First, I uninstalled Google Sync.

Then, I followed these steps…

1. Open the Desktop Manager that came with the Blackberry.
2. Connect the Blackberry to the computer.
3. Double-click “Backup & Restore”.
4. Select “Advanced”.
5. Wait for the “Device Databases” list to populate.
6. Scroll down the list until you find calendar and highlight it.
7. Click the Clear button under the list.

That clears your calendar.

Then I reinstalled Google Sync and told it to sync with the Google Calendar. Everything was wonderful after that!

Hope this helps anyone else who gets stuck in the same situation.

If you enjoy living this life, you should be thankful that you’re alive and in this same dimension this morning.

Today was the day that the RSP (Really Smart People) attempted to circulate a particle beam through the entire Large Hadron Collider.

You can read more about it and see pictures at the links below. But basically there was a chance that this thing could create a black hole and destroy most if not all of this place we call the universe. That’s my kinda invention!

Later friends! Hopefully it won’t destroy us on October 21st!

Bet you’ll feel glad you stayed at your boring job and didn’t live your life to the fullest when you wake up the morning after you get sucked into a man-made black hole and become a single-celled amoeba which stores and digests food in your vacuoles huh???

There’s nothing like a potential black hole and destruction of our universe to get me thinking about what’s lacking in my life.

I finally got rid of my massive mastodonic microwave that I never use.

I kept it on my balcony since it was really bulky and was in the way when I kept it in my apartment. I wrapped in a blanket that the movers forgot when they overcharged me for moving my crap.

I didn’t need it since my apartment came with a microwave and I don’t use that cancer-causing creature anyway. I prefer food that isn’t prepared by way of radiation. I didn’t want to throw it away since it was almost brand new. And I didn’t want to give it away because I loathe the idea of meeting some weirdo from Craigslist that wanted a free microwave.

It had been on my balcony for about 4 months. Probably more! I basically disregarded that titanic tumor-producer. But I had a friend over that told me about their microwave issues and I quickly suggested that they take mine.

I brought the pile of electronic pointlessness into my apartment and put it near the door. I went back onto the balcony to see if the blanket looked all nasty from months of residing in the great outdoors. But I was in for quite a shock.

Before last night, I hadn’t heard Governor Sarah Palin say a word in her life. I didn’t know if she could speak or not. I started to wonder if they spoke English in Alaska.

The only things I knew about her was what I heard in the news everyday about her daughter being pregnant and her husband getting paid from the oil company and the speculation about her trying to get her brother-in-law fired.

But when I heard her speech at the Republican National Convention last night, I was kinda blown away. I didn’t watch it, just listened to it.

She didn’t talk about herself much so I don’t know much more about her expect she’s a hockey mom and was in the PTA at her kids’ school.

She didn’t say anything new about the issues if you’ve been keeping up at all.

What blew me away was her voice.

Her voice reminded me of a teacher that I had back in my younger days. She has that generic, older lady voice who is in charge and tells you what to do.

Just based on her voice and the things she was saying about “their opponent”, she almost had me convinced because she had that authoritative, older white female voice that I grew up having boss me around. It subconsciously stirred something in me that made me feel like I had to believe her and do whatever she said.

It was the weirdest thing that happened to me EVER!!!

I’m interested to see if the tone of her voice continues to affect me in the same way.

Did her voice or anything else about her affect any of you in that way???

Update: Narendra sent me a link that lists out a few of Palin’s lies in her speech last night.
