Well, I’ll be able to after I get through the classes and the probationary period.
Travel with me if you will back to last month when I wrote about my experiences in two different volunteer fire department’s business meetings.
I ended up going with the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department. I turned in the fat packet of papers Monday night. Then, the rest of the probationary members and I had to leave the room while the regular members voted on whether I could join their gang. Surprisingly enough, they let me in.
Now I get to start training and take the firefighter classes as soon as those start up. I’ll get the same training that a career firefighter would so that could be a potential career path.
Either way, it’ll be good to have the opportunity to save old people and children from flaming buildings and get cats out of trees with my super fireman ladder.
