I hear that from friends a lot lately. I understand why people ask that but to me it should be assumed.
If I tell them about something cool that I’m doing and it’s something I sound somewhat passionate about, it would be safe for them to assume I’m excited. So don’t ask.
But I’m the type of person that doesn’t get too excited about most things until I’m walking in the door or I’m about to climb in or sign the papers or whatever that step is right before I do whatever “it” is. So don’t ask.
I’m sure I’m different than most people in that respect. As much as I get asked, “are you excited”, I would bet that most people develop a walloping level of excitement about things well before they happen.

edit: I do get excited about one thing before I should. Narendra reminded me. I get excited everytime I here a peep about the new Grand Theft Auto 4. So if whatever we’re talking about isn’t GTA4, I don’t get excited prematurely.

HAHA…this made me smile, because it’s true, most people allow themselves to experience a little bit of excitement in anticipation of those events worth looking forward to…I guess if you don’t allow yourself to do this, you may not experience the disappointment of reality when things don’t always live up the hype…I understand both ways of thinking. However, I choose to get excited…it’s more fun that way
Well I did get excited about those huge turkey wings tonight! But that’s because I had them in my hands smearing butter all over them so they’d get a nice golden brown.
