At my old job, a coworker and I took a little bit of time to come up with the differences between nerds, dorks, and geeks. I lost the extensive list that we came up with but today I found this post that gives labels to a whole gang of different styles of geekery.

Check it out.

I saw a commercial that referenced this site that really hit home.

Go to their videos section and look at the 2nd video entitled “Video Store”. This link might do it.

I spent almost half of the day yesterday researching TV’s and picking out the perfect one for my place. I don’t need a new one but hey… IT’S AMERICA!!! And it was a great deal.

After hours of researching and coveting those lovely 42″ LCD HDTVs, I decided that I reeeeally don’t need one. Even though they are kinda cute and cuddly looking these days.

Today while I was on the treadmill, I saw that commercial that I referenced above. If my mind wasn’t already made up to not get it, that commercial sealed the deal. In those 10 seconds of video, it pointed out how unnecessary it would be for me to get it. Especially since all I watch on TV is 24 and America’s Funniest Home Videos!

So check out the site. It’s actually pretty good. They have a calendar that you can print out that has little ideas that you can do on certain days to get your money right.

Be well.

Number 19 on Google Trends.

I won’t even type what it is. I don’t want to show up in any search results for it.

It may not be 19 when you check it. Maybe I’ll post a picture later.

*Update*
It’s now number 43.
Here’s a link to the picture when it was 19.

Unless you think you’re funny and have something really witty and clever and ORIGINAL to say, keep Jermil off of your mass “HAPPY NEW YEAR” text message list.

I got who knows how many texts saying happy new year. It annoyed me for about 15 milliseconds until I could close my phone and forget what I just read.

It’s like the guy in Memento who forgot what just happened once something else distracted him. Once I slapped my phone shut, I forgot why I had the phone in my hand.

What was I talking about again? Oh yeah…

I got a text from one of my boys saying “I love you man. Happy new year!” That was different from all of the mass texts and didn’t make me want to erase my memory by slamming my phone shut. I think I may have showed it to someone and they wondered why they should care. And that could’ve been a mass text too but at least it didn’t look like all the rest of them that I got around that same time.

Bottom line is… I don’t want your mass text messages. From now on, whenever I get one, that person gets their number removed from my phone.

The name stays. Just no number.
