This isn’t a continuation of this one but it’s just freaky.

I went into Kinko’s at about 10pm tonight to pick up my business cards. The other customers were making their copies and doing whatever else people can do in Kinko’s.

I walked up to the register and saw something that looked like the back of a credit card on the floor. I picked it up and OF COURSE it was a credit card. So I waited for one of the guys to help me and I told him I found that card on the ground. He shook his head and said he doesn’t understand how people can lose those things.

If this keeps happening, I’m gonna start posting the people’s names on here. That’s probably not illegal right?

And once again, I’m a role model for the youth.

Volunteering on Friday night at the Celebrate Fairfax festival was really fun. I’ll be there Sunday too in the afternoon in the Sci-Tech tent at the booth of the company for which I work. I’ll upload the pictures after Sunday.

But I was talking to one of the other volunteers. Some random lady that he knew was talking with him about some lady they knew and how she was going to retire soon.

After she left, I asked the guy how long he’d been with the company. He said since 1982. I said, “Wow, I was born in 1982.” I’m sure he enjoyed hearing that (not really). But that was amazing to me.

I think that’s one of the major differences between his generation and my generation. Most of my friends have been through at least one company by now and aren’t looking to stay with their present company for any length of time.

But the past generation felt like their job was their family or something. I would love to have the opportunity to really sit down with someone in that situation and pick their brain. Maybe I’ll interview them the next time I see them.

The County of Fairfax holds a festival every second weekend after Memorial Day. According to their website:

More than 60,000 attendees enjoy six stages of performances, great food, interactive exhibits and activities, a Crafts Market, Business Expo, carnival and special attractions.

I’ll be volunteering at this event on Friday and Sunday evenings. Come on out and celebrate the best county in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

I’ll definitely take pictures.

Party on Wayne.
