I get home from work.
I didn’t want to sit around with him and do nothing for the evening. I recently started lusting for a skateboard. I figured that could be something to do to kill some time while we waited for his dad to call him and give him the details on where he’d be staying. Remember, he only asked to stay with me for ONE NIGHT and that night was used up Wednesday night.
I asked him if he wanted to go to the mall with me so I could pick up a skateboard and whatever else. He said yeah but he wanted to finish his taxes first. I figured he’d be done in a few minutes.
About 30 minutes later, he was still typing away doing his taxes. I ate the rest of my Monte Cristo and had a glass of Funky Llama while I watched an episode of Bam’s Unholy Union. When that went off, it was about 7:45. I decided that if he wasn’t done by 8, I’d roll without him.
He did get done before 8 and we got ready to head to the mall. As he was walking to the door, I suggested that he get his stuff in case his dad calls while we’re out. That way we wouldn’t have to come back to my place to grab his stuff then head back to wherever he would be staying. He stood there looking confused for about 3 seconds. Then he said “Oh yeah…” and grabbed his stuff. I took that as a foreshadowing of how the night would turn out.
We got to the mall and went to Sports Authority. The only skateboards they had cost 90 bucks. I didn’t want to pay that much for something that I probably wouldn’t use after a week. We left there and roamed around the mall. I ended up buying an awesome shirt and a hat. It wasn’t a total loss.
He called his dad on the way back to my place since he hadn’t had any updates and it was about 9:30 at night. He was on the phone with his dad for most of the way back. They finally came to a resolution when I pulled into a parking spot at my place. We got in and he gloomily gave me the results. His dad was apparently calling the wrong number for some relative of his. He has the correct number and was going to call that number in the morning. I say great and I stand there looking at him waiting for him to ask if he can stay another night. Instead, he asks if I can take him to the Metro. I ask him, “Right now?” He says, “Nooo, in the morning.” I say, “oh… yeah sure.”
He has to be at work by 9:30am and wants to get there 30 minutes early. He should’ve just said he wanted to be there by 9. The Metro ride from the stop by here to the stop by his job takes about 45 minutes. Basically, I have to get him to the metro by 8am. I usually don’t get up for work until 8am. I figure I’ll get up, brush my teeth, take him to the Metro, come back home and do the rest of my business, then go to work. Seems like a good idea right?
End Thursday.

Stop leaving ppl with these cliffhangers.
I agree.
If I posted the whole story as one post, no one would read it because it would be too long. Therefore, I make it in shorter, more readable lengths that can keep the focus of normal human beings.
who said normal human beings read it? you’re dealing with above average minds.
The cliffhangers are key in storytelling, Antonio!
