Cecilia hosted a lovely evening at her apartment Saturday. I was hoping that since it was called a gaming party, she was going to teach the guys some game to help with the ladies. Instead, it was a video gaming party. I saw an old 8-bit Nintendo, Nintendo 64 where some old-fashioned Goldeneye was played, the new Wii which is a lot of fun, and an XBOX 360. Those are the only systems that I remember.

Mark was interested in break dancing. No one else was. But he stuck with it and seemed to enjoy himself without breaking any bones or furniture in the process.

I was interested in having an after-party somewhere in DC. I knew of a free open bar and I saw no reason to miss that. Unfortunately, no one else from the gaming party was. I called a few people from work who were interested in partying this weekend. One didn’t answer, one wanted to play video games instead, another didn’t want to drive to DC, and the last couldn’t wait to go. I left them, went home to change clothes, and picked up my boy. A girl I knew was interested in free drinks as well so I told her to meet us there.
About 200 people signed up for the event so I expected the place to be packed. The people who were hosting it had changed the venue the day of the event because of water problems in DC. I’d say only 40 people showed up. That was plenty for me and you can’t beat free drinks. Any drink with Grey Goose invovled was free.

Surprisingly, I didn’t take too many pictures there. I usually have at least 50 every night. This night, I only took 4.
